Snowmobile Instructor Training Course (through Portage College, 5 days)
ATV World Inc offers the one day pre requisite training course required to take the five day Snowmobile Instructors Course through Portage College.
Pre requisite must have been on an operators course in last 3 years. On the one day course the instructor evaluates your skills as an operator then sends a letter to the college recommending your entry in the 5 day program instructors course that will be done in Lac La Biche.
Pre Requisite: First day snowmobile students course minimum 10 hours, to be conducted prior to actual Instructors course.
Second P hase: 5 days in Lac La Biche, Alberta (classes are all day and evening sessions also)
All Participants are required to provide their own snowmobile (that can pass a mechanical inspection check, ATV World Inc and a local dealer can provide rentals upon request) and all riding gear (dress for weather).
The key elements involved in the Snowmobile Instructor training are:
- In-depth discussions of snowmobile riding techniques and practices
- Maintenance, Survival components are covered
- Rider evaluation techniques and lesson planning
- Rider awareness and adaptation to changing conditions
- A focus on techniques of delivery, presentation and facilitation skills
- Instructor candidates are provided with an Instructor Kit which includes program curriculum and a set of program Overheads/CDs.
- Nationally recognized program, developed by the Portage College (Lac La Biche).
